Batavia Container, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Lead to prepare items for shipment and verify records for incoming and outgoing shipments. The role requires on-floor work, standing or sitting for long periods, and manual lifting up to 50 lbs. You will manage loading, documentation, and delivery coordination with drivers to ensure timely, accurate shipments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and load shipments.
• Run BOLs and other shipping documents.
• Contact customer before shipment, as needed.
• Maintain warehouse organization and accurate finished goods inventory.
• Unload incoming jobbing shipments and returns.
• Assist with incoming jobbing inspection.
• Examine contents against records and verify accuracy of shipments.
• Confirm pallet counts based on trailer length and stacking configuration and compare to bill of lading.
• Develop shipping plan and communicate issues.
• Provide direction to Fork-Lift Operators and truck drivers.
• Ensure material or finished product is delivered on time and undamaged.
• Adhere to procedures including food safety, OSHA, and PPE guidelines.
