Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments of materials and products with pre-approved transportation services.
• Compiles and computes domestic freight rates and other charges for transportation services according to rate tables and tariff regulations.
• Examines shipping bills to obtain description of freight and classifies freight according to rate book description.
• Determines most economical and efficient carrier and arranges for shipping and delivery as needed.
• Use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting shipments.
