We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Logistics Clerk to join our team at Bayou Processing and Storage, a steel coil processing facility and logistics solution. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient outbound shipping operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering calls, checking in drivers, coordinating trailer loading logistics, and entering data into our internal tracking system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in drivers upon arrival and ensure all documentation is in order.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls related to shipping and logistics.
• Accurately input shipping and coil data into the internal tracking system.
• Direct drivers to appropriate loading bays and coordinate coil loading activities with the warehouse team.
• Communicate with internal departments (production, quality control, warehouse) to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping office and log all truck movements.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and site regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in Spanish and English required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong computer skills; familiarity with logistics or inventory software a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and up to four hours per shift sitting and working on a com puter.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to traverse the facility on unforgiving surfaces.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold climates and in an environment with many noises and odors.
