Job summary

Trulite, located in Houston, TX, is hiring a Production Warehouse Shipping Loader for the second shift to move glass, load from tables and trucks, and keep production flowing.

You will read labels, inspect quality, operate equipment, and rotate tasks with a team. Benefits start day one, plus quarterly bonuses and a monthly production incentive. Must be able to lift 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
• Must push weights greater than 150 lbs with a team.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to communicate as a member of a team.
• Must follow instructions and read/understand paperwork and labels.
• Able to read basic measurements with a tape measure.
• Open to working across various production areas; rotating tasks.
• Flexible schedule; typically Mon-Fri with occasional weekends.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move glass from tables, furnace, racks, and trucks for eight+ hours daily.
• Transport materials to expedite production flow.
• Read and attach labels and tags to products.
• Perform quality inspection and operate or manually maneuver equipment.
• Understand facility layout to ensure product flow.
• Rotate job functions; maintain safe and clean work area.
• Inspect product for abnormalities and notify supervisor.
• Use tape measure to verify product specifications.
• Maintain attendance and comply with safety policies.

Who You Are:

You are a product moving master. You thrive in a team setting and want the team to succeed.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Move glass from, tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily
• Transport of materials, including glass from one position/location to another to expedite the production process
• Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to product
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
• Understand layout of the facility to ensure proper product flow
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues (fabrication issues, logo placement, etc.)
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

• All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
• Flexible work availability (typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekends)
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, preferred
• Forklift experience a plus
• Overhead crane experience a plus
