Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time shipping/receiving associate. The role involves pulling orders, counting, loading/unloading product to meet shipping schedules and maintaining a clean work area.

Must follow safety policies and be able to move wheeled equipment weighing up to 400 lbs and lift 20 lb containers. Six months shipping experience preferred. Salary starts at $22.10 per hour with full-time benefits including health, 401(k), training, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months shipping or related experience.
• No educational prerequisite; must read, comprehend and record information.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that product received from production or other plants is recorded correctly.
• Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure shipping schedules are met.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Practice and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules.
• Performance of other duties integral to work schedules, attendance policies and operating rules.
• Practices and complies with all Company policies (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Physically capable of movement to all Shipping areas.
• Ability to exert force to move wheeled equipment weighing 400 lbs, up to 100 feet.
• Ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing up to 20 lbs.
