Qualifications

• 2+ years in shipping, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or similar.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple jobs with changing deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while directing a team.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping software.
• Experience with Pace or ERP/OMS systems is a plus.
• Forklift certification or experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move packages and materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping activities and ensure orders meet deadlines.
• Prioritize and stage shipments based on dates and carrier pickup times.
• Monitor outgoing shipments and report delays to management.
• Provide daily direction to Shipping team and assign work by priority.
• Train new employees on shipping procedures and safety.
• Assist management in identifying staffing and workflow improvements.
• Serve as first point of contact for Shipping department questions.
• Inspect orders for damage, discrepancies, or labeling issues before shipment.
• Ensure customer-specific packing/shipping requirements are followed.
