Summary:This is a working lead position and entails supervision and coordination of activities engaged in by employees in the warehouse. Individuals will be required to fulfill the following duties and requirements, alongside employees while fostering a positive work environment.
KPI Goals:
Safety: Reduce/eliminate potential for risk, while making sure employees adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervise 5-15 employees in the shipping and receiving department. Carriers out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Education and/or experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a shipping/receiving or logistics role, with supervisory experience preferred. High School diploma or general education degree (GED); additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing software; spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
