You will coordinate forklift operators, schedule deliveries, and work with Customer Service to ensure timely product arrival. A High School diploma, English proficiency, and forklift certification are required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Qualified Shipping Forklift Operator.
• One year experience as a Forklift Operator preferred.
• Supervisory experience as a proven manager/leader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Shipping Department activities using cost-effective methods while meeting customer delivery expectations.
• Implement, maintain and support all company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate forklift operators in loading trailers according to customer specifications.
• Schedule deliveries to meet customer expectations in the most cost-efficient way.
• Coordinate and communicate with Customer Service regarding product deliveries.
• Accurately prepare bills of lading.
• Review forklift inspection sheets daily and arrange maintenance as needed.
• Ensure accurate stock locations in the shipping warehouse.

Job Description

Overview

• Oversee Shipping Department activities using the most cost effective methods possible while meeting customer delivery expectations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and support all company policies and procedures.
• Provide training as necessary.
• Conduct shift overlap meetings with oncoming shift Supervisor to minimize errors.
• Coordinate forklift operators in the daily routine of loading trailers according to customer specifications.
• Schedule deliveries using the most cost efficient, and time saving manner possible while still meeting customer expectations.
• Coordinate and communicate with Customer Service concerning delivery of product to customers.
• Accurately prepare bills of lading.
• Review forklift inspection sheets daily and prepare maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Ensure accurate stock locations in the shipping warehouse.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
