Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Shipping Inspector to prepare parts for safe transit via common carriers. Responsibilities include stamping, sorting, wrapping, packaging, and maintaining documentation to ensure accurate outgoing shipments.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety, timely attendance, and collaborative work in loading/unloading, with on-the-job training provided. Experience with FedEx/UPS/USPS is a plus and federal export controls may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
• Maintain punctual attendance and reliable work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Package and prepare parts for shipment.
• Stamp, sort, wrap and package parts for safe transit.
• Verify orders for correct quantity and product type.
• Collaborate in loading/unloading of trucks and conduct QA checks.
• Determine packaging methods and printing labels, bills of lading.
• Maintain accurate records for outgoing/incoming packages and inventory.
• Ensure proper storage and security of all products and materials.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
