Job summary

MITER Brands, Milgard Windows and Doors division, is seeking a Shipping I team member to join a fast-paced warehouse environment in Washington. This developmental role focuses on staging, material movement, loading support, and inventory accuracy while you learn shipping processes with the goal of advancing to Shipping II.

You will follow safety procedures, operate handheld scanners, and collaborate with Shipping Leads and the wider team to ensure accurate, timely shipments and orderly warehouse

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics experience preferred.
• Basic computer and scanning device experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staging and preparing products for shipment.
• Move materials and finished goods throughout the department.
• Support loading activities under the direction of Shipping Leads and Shipping II team members.
• Perform basic scanning, verification, and documentation tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist with restaging, sorting, and inventory accuracy activities.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and warehouse protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and leadership.
• Perform bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, and other material‑handling activities throughout the shift.
• Learn MITER Brands shipping processes with the goal of developing into a Shipping II role.

Shift: Swing Shift - 3:30 p.m. - 12:30 (mandatory overtime)

Hourly Compensation: Starting at $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

The Shipping I team member supports warehouse and shipping operations by assisting with product staging, material movement, loading activities, inventory accuracy, and general warehouse organization. This role serves as a developmental position with the opportunity to learn shipping processes and progress into more advanced shipping responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse.
• Repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull materials and products.
• Lift up to 50 pounds independently and participate in team lifts when necessary.
• Bend, stoop, reach, and twist throughout the workday.
• Safely handle glass, frames, and finished products.
• Use handheld scanners and perform basic computer‑related tasks.
• Stand for extended periods during 10- to 12-hour shifts.
• Demonstrate fine motor skills for scanning, handling tools, and completing documentation.
• Visually inspect products to identify quality concerns or defects.
• Walk and work on concrete flooring throughout the shift.
• Work in warehouse conditions, including temperature fluctuations, noise, and dust.
• Maintain a consistent work pace while meeting safety and quality expectations.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail when staging, verifying, and handling products.

Preferred Qualifications
