Job summary

Tower Extrusions, LLC in Wylie, TX is seeking a Shipping Foreman to lead the shipping department on day shifts. You will work alongside the shipping supervisor to keep loads scheduled, safety top of mind, and equipment checklists on track.

The role emphasizes team leadership, adherence to forklift and crane safety procedures, and the ability to run reports in an ERP/WMS system (EPICS a plus).

Qualifications

• Previous lead or supervisory experience in shipping or logistics.
• Experience with forklift and crane safety procedures.
• Experience running reports in an ERP or WMS (EPICS a plus).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety toolbox meetings at the start of the shift.
• Ensure team members follow safety rules and that forklift and crane operators complete equipment checklists.
• Review the shift's loading schedule with the shipping clerk and assign loads to loaders.
• Assign trailer movements to the yard truck driver throughout the day.
• Review loads pending receipt and check the priority report for outstanding orders.
• Run shipping reports and update the load board as needed; perform weekly audits on receiving, loading, and shipping procedures.
• Report near-misses and accidents immediately to shipping supervisor.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the shipping supervisor and manager.

Tower Extrusions, LLC. is a privately owned aluminum extrusion company that has been in business for over 40 years. We have seen tremendous growth over that time and are looking to add to our team at our Wylie, TX location.

We are hiring a Shipping Foreman to help lead shift operations in our Wylie, TX shipping department. This role works alongside the shipping supervisor to keep loads scheduled, teams safe, and equipment checklists on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety toolbox meetings at the start of the shift

• Working knowledge of forklift and crane safety procedures
• Comfortable running reports in an ERP or warehouse management system (EPICS experience a plus)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to move about the plant and yard, and work required overtime
