Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Pennsylvania seeks a Distribution Manager to oversee shipping and transport operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely distribution and directing the Shipping Supervisors and drivers.

You will implement safety programs, maintain regulatory compliance, and coordinate with production and outside carriers to meet scheduling and quality goals. Strong leadership and hands-on supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Completion of formal management skills training program.
• Two (2) or more years experience as transport driver or supervisor and two (2) years experience as Shipping Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Carry out policies established by company officials and policy manuals.
• Directs and oversees activities of the Shipping Supervisors, 3rd party transport providers, and shipping employees.
• Functions in the capacity of the Distribution Manager in his/her absence.
• Ensures that products received from Production Department and from other plants are properly handled and shipped on schedule.
• Assists in the recruitment of qualified personnel to meet shipping and transport personnel needs.
• Maintains Safety Programs and safe operating procedures and monitors employee compliance.
