Job summary

JAM Industries is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations in our on-site warehouse in Southaven, MS. The role focuses on safe, accurate, and efficient processing of musical electronics, instruments, and accessories, including picking, packing, and shipping.

You will operate order-picking equipment, read model numbers, and ensure accurate inventory control while adhering to safety standards and contributing to a cooperative team environment.

Qualifications

  • GED or HS diploma required.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience (picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory).
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scan-guns required.
  • Oracle WMS experience is a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work autonomously.
  • Must work well in a team and stay organized.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate an order picker, reach truck, sit-down counterbalance, or pallet jack.
  • Read and match model numbers, quantities, and locations to pick orders.
  • Follow safety and quality policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with inventory, receiving, and shipping departments.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient pick tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Summary
The Warehouse Associate supports the operation through safe, accurate, and efficient processing of musical electronics, instruments, and accessories.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Safely operate an order picker, reach truck, sit down counterbalance, or powered pallet jack.
  • Work productively and accurately to complete assigned pick tasks.
  • Accurately read and match printed model numbers, unit quantities, and locations to pick orders.
  • Demonstrate responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards.
  • Move to the work as needed in a cooperative and flowing team environment.
  • Complete tasks for various departments such as Inventory, Receiving and Shipping.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of a GED or High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse position (including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory etc.)
  • Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with RF scan-guns.
  • Experience in Oracle WMS a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work autonomously.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work harmoniously in a team.
  • Must be detail oriented and have a strong sense of organization.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience on reach truck and order picker lifts.
  • Must be able to safely use a pallet jack, box cutter, tape gun and other warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team as well as autonomously.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs without assistance using proper lifting techniques and/or with assistance of a pallet jack.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a warehouse-based position and will be performed on-site in the warehouse.
