Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily shipments and warehouse activities to ensure accurate counts and on-time delivery.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Verify shipping documents, prepare bills of lading, and ensure correct loading temperatures.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas following FIFO procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet OSH, GMP, and safety policies.

Job Overview

FreshTexas is hiring an experienced Shipping Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the daily shipments and warehouse activities. The goal is to accurately count and ship finished goods to the customer to ensure smooth and consistent operation. This individual will ensure parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Job Duties

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, communication and assuring quality of finished product.
• Perform manual and clerical duties related to the shipment of finished goods and receipt of materials and supplies.
• Check goods against shipping documents and authorizations.
• Verify identification and quality of product, prepare bills of lading and shipping instructions, verify trucks are at the correct loading temperature and load shipment onto trucks.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
• Manage and maintain proper inventory workflow following FIFO procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
• Maintain and develop new ideas for cost saving initiatives.
• Follow all OSHA required and FreshTexas Safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure all GMP’s are followed throughout the facilities.
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
• Perform cycle counts as needed per management.

Skills

• Must be forklift and pallet jack certified per OSHA standards (all new hires will undergo certification at FreshTexas as part of onboarding process).
• Must be able to perform cycle counts and be proficient in mathematical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral.
• Must work well in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement.
