Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation and inventory processes.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Pelican's shipping objectives and ensure compliance with Quality and Safety.
  • Interact effectively with employees at all levels and meet timelines.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; may require overtime.
  • Operate in a schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm ET, Monday–Friday.
  • Assist with domestic and international shipping and related documentation.

What You’ll Do
  • Actively supports and complies with Pelican's objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within required timelines
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • This role requires repetitive hand and wrist activity
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of shipping or logistics experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation, inventory processes, and picking/packing procedures.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to operate a stand-up forklift or willingness to become certified.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping is a plus.
  • Understanding of customs requirements, Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO environments is a plus.
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Eastern Time
