Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination role.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CISP) a plus.
• Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade regulations preferred.
• Prior experience managing shipments of hardware, technology equipment, or other specialty products a plus.

Responsibilities

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of our hardware products — including access control platforms, self-service kiosks, and connected facility technologies — from our facilities to customers and partners across North America and internationally. The Shipping Coordinator will work cross-functionally with Operations, Accounting, and Sales to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant fulfillment of all outbound shipments.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSShipping & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate all aspects of the shipping process, including scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and arranging transportation with carriers and freight forwarders.Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and all other documentation required for domestic and international shipments.Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.Track shipments and proactively update internal stakeholders and customers on order status, ensuring transparency and on-time delivery.Cross-Functional CollaborationLiaise with Operations, Accounting, and Sales teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.Partner with the warehouse and inventory teams to coordinate order pick, pack, and ship workflows.Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping-related questions from internal teams and external partners.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure all shipments comply with applicable shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling, export controls, and customs requirements.Maintain accurate and complete records of shipments, including tracking information, delivery receipts, and shipping costs.Monitor and ensure adherence to carrier contracts, service level agreements, and shipping policy standards.Cost Management & Process ImprovementMonitor shipping costs and identify opportunities to optimize transportation expenses while maintaining required service levels.Resolve shipping-related issues or discrepancies, including damaged goods, shipping delays, and customs clearance challenges.Identify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to streamline shipping operations and enhance efficiency.Experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing, hardware, or distribution environment.Strong understanding of shipping procedures, domestic and international transportation regulations, and customs compliance requirements.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external carriers, and customers.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and shipping software/systems (e.g., FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or equivalent).Problem-solving mindset with the ability to quickly resolve shipping-related issues and adapt to changing priorities.Strong analytical skills with the ability to review shipping data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate business needs.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and related equipment.Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.Regularly required to communicate verbally in person and via phone and email.Must be able to work in a warehouse or shipping dock environment, which may include varying temperatures and noise levels.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.2+ years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination role.Experience with domestic and international shipping preferred.Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CISP) a plus.Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade regulations preferred.Prior experience managing shipments of hardware, technology equipment, or other specialty products a plus.
