Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Shipping Coordinator in Mounds View, Minnesota to join our team. The role focuses on forklift operation, inventory accuracy, and coordinating shipments with trucks.

Ideal candidates bring warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a day-shift position with no weekend work, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
• Minimum 6 months forklift experience and ability to pass OSHA exams.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, transport, and unload stock, parts, and materials.
• Monitor scheduling board to determine truck arrivals and shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of all materials shipped and received.
• Work cooperatively with teammates and demonstrate safety compliance.

What Success Looks Like

• Has moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Operates all forklifts to properly load, transport and unload stock, parts, and materials.
• Has ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused after an interruption such as a delivery.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of all materials shipped out from and being received by the facility.
• Monitors scheduling board to determine when trucks will arrive.
• Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player.
• Follows safety rules and procedures.

What You Bring

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related warehouse and inventory experience.
• At least 6 months of forklift experience; ability to pass OSHA required practical and written exams.
• Strong organizational skills, with emphasis to details.

The starting hourly rate is $21.55 to $27.74, depending on experience, with the possibility of up to a $1 pay increase after 90 days.
