Title: Shipping Coordinator
Location / Department: Warehouse Department
Reports To: Manager, Warehouse/ Warehouse Supervisor
Basic Job Functions:
Responsible for overseeing all daily shipping activities, coordinating with warehouse management on workload scheduling, supervising assigned personnel, reporting productivity data and manpower requirements, and maintaining accurate material control and inventory.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Coordinate the scheduling and planning of all shipments.
- Supervise assigned personnel.
- Create shipments as Pjobs get released, selecting tickets to meet current customer requirements.
- Enter shipments into Accuterm.
- Enter shipments into customer databases when applicable.
- Print all Accupac and customer shipping paperwork.
- Maintain accurate materials inventory.
- Communicate shipping updates to both Project Management and upper management when applicable.
- Update the finished goods spreadsheet and attend all finished goods meetings.
- Reconcile the previous day’s shipments, confirming tickets have been consumed and sending shipping paperwork to the applicable contacts.
- Keep accurate files of both Accupac bill of ladings and all other shipping papers.
- Keep an accurate record of Chep pallets being shipped and enter information into applicable databases and/or spreadsheets.
- Be the main contact with customers and carriers for all Accupac shipments, attending any meetings dealing with such.
- Work with the Procurement group and vendors on all returns.
- Contact all carriers to schedule shipments.
- Assist in training assigned personnel related to rules, regulations, cGMP’s, SOP’s, and customer-specific requirements applicable to their responsibilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements of the Job:
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse inventory and location systems.
- Warehouse, transportation, and materials handling experience.
- Able to operate a stand-up forklift.
- Basic mathematical skills sufficient to count and reconcile materials and conduct inventory.
- Able to read and interpret documentation, instructional signs, and warning placards.
- Able to follow instructions, get along well with others, and work in a team environment.
- Able to be conscientious, diligent, and pay attention to details.
- Able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision in a very fast-paced environment.
- Able to work different shifts, hours, and overtime on short notice.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to sustain a minimum of one (1) hour of strenuous activity.
- Able to work different scheduled hours/shifts/days and overtime to meet the manufacturing schedule.
- Able to sit 41-75% of the workday.
- Able to work in a “dusty” environment.

Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have previous experience working in a warehouse. Must be HazMat certified.
