Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Allentown, PA is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join onsite. You will work with shipping, customer service, production and other teams to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and compliant international shipments.

The role includes load planning, carrier selection, documentation, inventory control and warehouse operations support. A high school diploma and solid organizational and communication skills are required, with opportunities to grow within a global tools

Qualifications

  • Basic mathematical abilities and numerical fluency.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with shipping, customer service, production and support to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers and distributors for shipments.
  • Process international documentation for import/export shipments.
  • Prepare load plans and select carriers per established practices.
  • Keep internal customers informed of shipment status and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain inventory and shipment records, and generate reports as needed.
  • Prepare bills of lading and shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.
  • Support warehouse operations including cycle counting and inventory projects.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain issues between production and customers.
  • Audit shipments and related documents for accuracy.

The Job:

As a Shipping Coordinator, you’ll be part of our Allentown, PA team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:

  • Work closely with shipping team, customer service, production, and other support departments to ensure product is delivered on time and efficiently to the customer

  • Work with carriers, freight forwarders, custom brokers, and international distributors to plan and execute shipments in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner

  • Process all international documentation for import & export shipments, which may include, but is not limited to, commercial invoice, shippers export declaration, certificate of origin, shippers’ letter of instruction to meet all applicable federal and international laws

  • Load plan and select carriers based on established practices

  • Keep internal customers informed of shipment status and provide timely response to shipment inquiries

  • File and maintain records related to inventory, shipments, or other departmental needs

  • Maintain reports as requested

  • Prepare and enter bill of lading manifests and shipping documents for domestic and international shipments

  • Warehouse operations responsibilities including, but not limited to, cycle counting, inventory control projects, and day to day operations

  • Identify, communicate, and solve problems found within the supply chain between production and end customer

  • Audit shipments and related documents for accuracy

The Salary range for this position is $45,700.00 - $73,600.00
