You will work closely with customer service, production, inventory and warehouse teams to ship on time, track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate shipping records; requires attention to detail, solid organization, and experience with SAP or similar ERP and shipping

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of shipping, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with bills of lading, packing slips, freight documentation, and carrier portals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders for shipment in the ERP system.
  • Review completed orders to verify accuracy, quantities, and shipping requirements before releasing them.
  • Generate shipping documents, including bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, shipping labels, and carrier documentation.
  • Schedule shipments with parcel and freight carriers based on customer requirements.
  • Assign appropriate shipping methods and freight carriers according to routing guides and company procedures.
  • Drop (release) completed orders for shipment in the ERP system to ensure accurate inventory and order status.
  • Ensure all required shipping documentation is complete and accurate before shipment.
  • Communicate shipment schedules and exceptions with warehouse, customer service, production, and transportation teams.
  • Track shipments and provide shipping status updates as needed.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies, documentation errors, and carrier issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and filing systems.
  • Support inventory accuracy by completing required shipping transactions in the ERP system.
  • Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

Work Conditions:

This job operates in an industrial manufacturing environment exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, dust, fumes, oil, or other outdoor elements. This role requires regular standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs/ladders, squatting, sitting, operating machinery, and may require lifting to 50lbs, and must be able to wear PPE as required. This is a full-time position and may require some overtime including nights and weekend work.
