Job summary

Multilink Inc. in Elyria, OH, seeks a Shipping Clerk/Material Handler to pull items from the warehouse, prepare shipments, and route large and LTL shipments. The role uses RF scanners and ERP for accurate picking, labeling, and invoicing readiness each day.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma or GED, strong communication, and prior shipping/warehouse experience. Proficiency in Excel and UPS/FedEx software is required; forklift operation is a plus.

• Previous shipping and/or warehouse experience required.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel). Excel is used daily and will be required to perform this position.
• Must know how to route LTL and Truckload.
• Knowledge of international shipments and processes/paperwork.
• Experience operating powered equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Pull and transacts items correctly from warehouse using RF Scanners and ERP system.
• Assist in receiving and locating incoming items.
• Route/process all small parcel and freight for location.
• Create BOLs (bills of lading) for shipments.
• Process labels/shipments for FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip.
• Prepare and print packing slips for shipments.
• Make sure all orders are ready for invoicing by the time you leave each day.
• Maintain knowledge of LTL company and customer routing.
• Load/unload freight into semi-trucks daily.
• Call in for next-day pickup if trucks do not show up.
• Work with other departments to consolidate orders when needed.
• Correct all mistakes that occur with shipments.
• Supply all custom paperwork with all international shipments.
• Keep CSRs up to date on shipments that were missed, held back, or encountered issues.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Job Details: Job Location: Multilink Inc - Elyria, OH, Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00Hourly, The Shipping Clerk/Material Handler is responsible for pulling large warehouse items per customer orders, preparing items for shipment, and routing large and LTL shipments.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Pulland transacts items correctly from warehouse using RF Scanners and ERP system.
• Assist in receiving and locating incoming items
• Route/process all small parcel and freight for location
• Create BOL’s (bills of lading) for shipments
• Process labels/shipments for FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip
• Prepare and print packing slips for shipments
• Make sure all orders are ready for invoicing by the time you leave each day
• Maintain a current knowledge of LTL company and customer routing
• Load/unload freight into semi-trucks daily
• Make sure all trucks that did not show up are called in for the next-day pickup
• Work with other departments to consolidate orders when needed
• Correct all mistakes that occur with shipments
• Supply all custom paperwork with all international shipments
• Keep Customer Service Reps (CSRs) up to date on shipments that were missed, held back, or otherwise encountered issues
• All other duties as assigned by management

• Ability to use pallet wrapper, weigh, and measure pallets
• 3PL experience preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs
• Must be able to drive a forklift and load trucks
• Strong attention to detail, ability to distinguish numbers, letters and color differences

Work Environment

• Working in an office
• Working on a shipping dock
• Ability to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.

Payrate: $18.00 to $20.00 + Benefits
