We are looking to hire forklift drivers for our second shift. To pick, consolidate and ship all orders accurately and on time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED certification
Experience:
- Two years of shipping experience in a manufacturing warehouse required.
- Two years of forklift experience desired.
- Must be able to pass test for Forklift Certification (Available in English and Spanish)
Skills/Abilities:
- Effectively communicates (written/verbal) with personnel from all departments
- Must know how to operate a Cherry Picker, Sit-Down, and Stand-Up Forklift
Hours
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
- Promotes organization and good work ethic
- Maintains and improves standards for department.
- Knows how to operate a cherry picker forklift.
- Can process UPS, FedEx packages.
- Knows how to process a truck order.
- Can operate IFS and knows how to do delivery notes and tracking numbers.
- Creates commercial invoices on UPS and Fed Ex
- Understands and be able to use RADLEY
- Maintains accurate UPS and FedEx shipping records.
- Handles all paper work for shipping area.
- Assist in documenting procedures for area
- Ensures that all customers requiring special labeling are shipped correctly.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance and up to 60 lbs. with assistance
- Cross training required for other warehouse positions
- Other duties as assigned.
- Aware of the Quality & Environmental Policies & Objectives and understand your role & contribution towards these goals and how activities in your area contribute towards these objectives.
- QMS & EMS Master List – aware where to find documented policies, procedures & instructions
- Aware of Significant Environmental Aspects & Impacts (Environmental MGT System)
- Understand Environmental Compliance obligations & implications for non-complying
- Proper MGT & handling of Hazardous & non-hazardous Waste, including recycling.
- Participate & support Peerless Emergency Preparedness & response plan.
- Contribute toward EMS & QMS initiatives & improvements to support QMS & EMS Goals & Objectives.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
- Must be physically capable of standing/bending /stooping/griping 8+ hour shift(s)
- Must be able to lift/carry/move up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Anything above 30 lbs. requires a team lift.
- Must be able to work in non-climate, non-dust-controlled areas
- Must be able to wear required safety equipment including shoes, glasses, harnesses, etc.
