Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a 2nd shift Shipping Clerk to prepare and verify orders for next day in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role involves scheduling trucks, data entry into PMOS, and maintaining shipping records.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in manufacturing/warehouse environments, strong organization, and proficiency with Word/Excel and inventory systems. Must adhere to GMP/HACCP and safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assign and pick orders and schedule inbound/outbound trucks.
• Enter data into PMOS and maintain shipping records.
• Back-up Inventory Clerk and other shipping duties as needed.
• Track truck detention and enter daily production data.
• Adhere to GMP, HACCP, safety and environmental rules.

Job Description

1. Assign/pick orders
2. Schedule appointments for inbound and outbound trucks
3. Enter data into PMOS
4. Manage/store records according to the Records Management Program
5. Assist with monthly inventory
6. Back-up Inventory Clerk
7. Back-up other Shipping Clerk
8. Enter data into and maintain shipping efficiency spreadsheet
9. Track truck detention
10. Daily production entry
11. Enter movement sheets
12. Sort BOL’s
13. Schedule/arrange delivery trucks
14. Receive inbound packages/supplies scan/complete in Maximo
15. 2nd shift Shipping Clerk to prepare and verify orders for next day
16. Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements
17. Adhere to and enforce all safety and environmental rules and regulations
18. Communicate with scheduler
19. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.

Related Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Equipment/Software Skills: Proficient (or ability to become proficient) use of Word/Excel and various inventory system.

Additional Information

Schedule: Monday- Friday (2:00pm-10:30pm) with some weekend work and OT.

Physical: This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights

Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization
