Job summary

EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions. We are seeking a warehouse/shipping specialist to support inventory and order fulfillment.

You will process requests, pull materials, pack boxes, and prepare items for pickup in coordination with multiple departments. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, organized shipping area, building secure pallets, and ensuring accurate, timely shipments while supporting continuous improvement in distribution center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Strong analytical and math skills nice to have.
• Experience building relationships with shipping companies is beneficial.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for pickup.
• Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs
• Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality, and national standards of shipping best-practices.
• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.
• Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment with freight carriers
• Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely basis per policy.

Qualifications

• Experience using In-house and 3rd Party TMS systems
• Ability to build relationships with shipping companies to improve our shipping methods
• Working in inventory control requires a high school diploma/GED at minimum. Some college is often preferred. Knowledge of distribution center operations, strong analytical and math skills, and an understanding of inventory managementsoftware are especially helpful. Preferred SAP experience.
