Job summary

Ice Industries in Mason, Ohio, is hiring a Shipping Clerk for the 2nd shift (2:30pm - 1:00am, Mon-Thu). The role reports to the Shipping Manager and sits in the Shipping department.

You will ensure accurate billing, labeling, and documentation for all outgoing shipments, and coordinate dock staff and loading processes. The position requires a High School diploma, strong English communication, and a valid tow motor license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Must possess a valid tow motor operator’s license.

Responsibilities

• Billing of all outgoing product to the customer.
• Follow package instructions including bar code labeling, quantity, wrap and band as needed.
• Verify product for proper tags.
• Coordinate shipping/dock employees work efficiently.
• Load trucks for shipments and record load lists.
• Unload trucks and verify trailer safety before loading/unloading.
• Assist production in moving material and scrap handling.
• Maintain accurate inventory documentation.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30pm -1:00am Monday - Thursday)

Reports To: Shipping Manager

Department: Shipping

Location: Mason, Ohio

General Function: To ensure all outgoing parts are correctly packaged and labeled as required by customer instructions. Ensure all documentation involved with shipping is accurate.

Job Duties

• Billing of all outgoing product to the customer
• Following all package instructions as required per customer; to include correct bar code labeling, correct quantity, wrap, and band as necessary
• Verify product for proper tags
• Proper use of wrapper and bander; following instructions to ensure safety
• Coordinate shipping/dock employees work in an efficient manner
• Responsible for keeping brush line stocked with cardboard, skids, crates, and baskets
• Ensure tow motor is in safe working condition, completing check sheet and forwarding documentation to maintenance
• Loading trucks for shipments and accurately recording load lists
• Unload trucks and accurately recording receipt of material/product. Verify trailers are safe before loading or unloading
• Assist production in moving material and emptying scrap tubs
• Ensure material and parts are in proper locations
• Ensure proper documentation for accurate inventory
• All other duties as assigned by management

Other Requirements

• Possess a valid tow motor operator’s license issued by the company
• Basic computer skills using M2M software and the use of hand scanners
• Must be available to work overtime, including weekends as required

Working Conditions

Working Conditions: Environment includes the plant, shipping office, dock, in and out of trailers, outside of plant and warehouse (separate location). Standing, walking, sitting, and driving tow motors throughout the working day, capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and some stooping up to 40 lbs.
