Job summary

The Cubic Corporation is hiring for a Shipping Clerk to prepare shipments, receive parts, and help maintain inventory accuracy. Under general supervision, you will package materials per contract, process small parcel shipments, and interface with operations and procurement teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years shipping experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Military packaging experience and MS Office skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments per packaging instructions.
• Package materials to ensure damage-free delivery.
• Process small parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
• Maintain shipping supply inventory.
• Using MIL-STD identification and barcode labels as required.
• Retain shipping documents and records per policy.
• Interface with Operations, Quality, and AR as required.
• Support other departments needing shipping information or assistance.
• Receive parts associated with purchase orders.
• Interface with Procurement and Engineering as required.
• Assist Inventory Administrator in maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Act in accordance with Cubic 5S strategy.

Job Summary:

Prepares shipments for delivery, responsible for receiving of parts and components, and assists in maintaining inventory accuracy. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research contracts for packaging requirements.
• Prepares per packaging requirement instructions when required.
• Packages materials in accordance with contract or to effect damage free delivery as applicable.
• Processes small parcel shipments (i.e., United Parcel Service, Federal Express etc.).
• Maintains shipping supply inventory.
• Using computer generated MIL-STD identification and barcode labels as required.
• Retains shipping documents and records as required by company policy.
• Interfaces with Operations, Quality, and Accounts Receivable as required.
• Supports all other departments requiring shipping information or assistance.
• Receives parts associated with purchase orders as placed by the procurement team.
• Interfaces with Procurement and Engineering as required.
• Assists the Inventory Administrator in maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Acts in accordance with Cubic 5S strategy.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• High school graduation or equivalent and 1-2 years of shipping experience.
• Experience with military packaging preferred.
• Able to identify and properly use MIL-SPC packaging materials.
• Experience with MS Office required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintains a high level of organization and attention to details.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions, prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Cubic Pay Range:

$18- $23 hourly + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Cubic Pay Range:

$23.00 - $25.00 + benefits.
