Job summary

Neogen in Sterling, VA is seeking a Shipping Clerk 1 for the 2nd shift to support inbound and outbound distribution center operations. You will safely operate distribution equipment and use a barcode scanner to pick orders, perform inventory lookups, transfers, and load orders.

You will handle small parcel shipments (UPS, FedEx, DHL), complete shipping paperwork, and run packaging through the shipping station.

Qualifications

• Experience using a warehouse barcode scanner and basic shipping procedures.
• Ability to read packing lists and prepare shipping paperwork with accuracy.
• Experience with inbound/outbound distribution center tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all distribution equipment.
• Use barcode scanner for picking, inventory lookups, and transfers.
• Process small parcel shipments (UPS/FedEx/DHL) and complete required paperwork.
• Ship pallet orders with proper packing, labeling, and case counts.
• Coordinate international shipments and prepare packing lists and invoices.
• Handle temperature-controlled items and HazMat shipments per guidelines.
• Maintain professional attitude and work overtime as needed.
