Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk at our Woodbury, Minnesota facility. You will oversee the movement of goods in a multi-shift operation to keep production and material flow efficient.

Entry Level Role - $20-23/hour (Monday- Friday, 7am-3:30pm). Provide support for all shipping/receiving tasks and ensure accuracy and safety on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ warehousing, shipping and receiving, and dock operations experience.
• Experience managing forklift drivers and maintaining a strong safety record.
• Excellent teamwork and high attention to detail for accurate material movement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of workers to verify and record inbound/outbound shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing shipping to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Determine space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks.
• Inspect loading operations for compliance and seal loaded doors.
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance.
• Direct movement of shipments from platform to storage and work areas.
• Post weights and shipping charges; prepare bills of lading.
• May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.

Determines space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks and lays out position of shipment. Posts weight and shipping charges. Prepares bills of lading. May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities.

Being a stickler for details is also a must have in this role as material movement accuracy is critical. You must be a team player. 1+ years’ experience in warehousing, shipping and receiving, dock operations.
