  • Pull work tickets off the printer, highlights important information and assigns tickets to order pickers including instructions regarding the sequence of orders to be pulled.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and transportation carriers to schedule and track shipments.
  • Perform heavy data entry tasks to maintain accurate shipping logs and documentation.
  • Attach bills of lading to purchase orders and lift heavy packages safely.

The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments within a wholesale trade environment. This position is responsible for coordinating the preparation, packaging, and dispatch of goods to meet customer orders and delivery schedules. The Shipping Clerk must maintain meticulous records of shipments, verify inventory accuracy, and communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and transportation providers. By managing the flow of goods from the warehouse to the customer, this role directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, physically capable of handling heavy items, and adaptable to fluctuating workloads including overtime when necessary. No staffing agencies, please.   • Knowledgeable of basic inventory procedures.

  • Experience within a shipping / receiving environment.
