Job summary

A leading company in packaging seeks a Shipping Coordinator for their Shelbyville site. In this role, you'll manage the timely and accurate delivery of shipments, utilizing SAP and maintaining communication with internal teams and carriers. Qualifications

• Previous shipping experience desired.
• Beginner to intermediate level of MS Excel.
• Lift Truck operation will be required.

Albéa is a global leader in beauty, personal care, oral care, pharmaceutical and food packaging. Our site, Albéa Shelbyville is specialized in Laminate Tubes for Oral, Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical Markets.

Scope
Coordinate the shipments of finished goods to Albea customers on-time and accurately

Main activities
Daily use of computer system and company SAP for processing of shipments. Produce reports for shipment of product on-time and accurate. Constant contact with internal customer service and carriers for proper execution of customer shipment(s) via phone, portal and email. Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and on-time. Resolve issues with carrier pick-ups when they arise with Warehouse Supervisor. Depending on the nature of the shipment (i.e. Prepaid or Collect) call carriers to arrange pick up otherwise refer to customer routing instructions for proper carrier selection

Accountability including KPIs
Coordinate shipments in a timely manner, to satisfy the customer on time and in full agreement.

Maintain the accuracy of paperwork delivered to the customer

Profile (Experience & qualifications)
High School diploma or equivalent GED. Previous experience using SAP systems desired. Previous shipping experience desired. Strong mathematical abilities. Beginner to intermediate level of MS Office products including MS Excel. Able to use general office equipment (i.e. copier, fax, printer, calculator, desktop computer). Basic computer knowledge. Excellent communication skills verbal and written. Ability to work non-scheduled hours as needed. Works well in team environment. Adherence to all company policies and procedures. Lift Truck operation will be required. Previous experience desired but not necessary – Will be certified by Albéa
