Job summary

Jobtailor in Salem, VA is seeking an entry-level Shipping & Receiving associate to efficiently move products, organize the shipping area, and support on-time delivery.

You will train teammates, liaise with the Medeco team on shipping questions, and uphold 5S and safety standards while performing duties per company policies. This role requires teamwork, basic computer skills, heavy lifting, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Job description

• Receive incoming product for shipment via UPS, truck line, overnight, or other shipping methods as needed
• Organize the product and shipping area and familiarize yourself with changing needs
• Train team members on job tasks
• Serve as a liaison to the Medeco team for shipping questions and issues, resolving them through proper channels
• Work overtime as needed to maintain daily on-time delivery
• Maintain 5S and proactively improve safety
• Perform additional duties required to ensure smooth product flow
• Perform responsibilities in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Report to the Shipping & Receiving Manager

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Must be mobile to move from workstation to another
