The Shipping Clerk is responsible for monitoring, processing and recording a company's outgoing deliveries including merchandise, stock, materials and supplies in a warehouse environment.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Receive incoming orders
- Assigns orders to warehouse pickers
- Monitors staging area to ensure all picked orders are complete
- Notify purchasing department of any inventory shortages
- Monitor warehouse entrance for will call orders
- Direct delivery drivers to proper receiving bays
- Create load sheets for the packers / shippers
- Ensures warehouse goals are met
- Maintains a high level of health and safety standards
- Packs warehouse orders as necessary
- Operates scanners so that the proper order is picked, packed, shipped and inventory is managed accurately
- Performs other general warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Ability to Read, Analyze, and Interpret Documents such as Safety Rules, Operating Instructions, Procedures and Common Technical Manuals, and Purchase Orders
- Previous Experience Working in a Warehouse Preferred
- Experience Working with an RF Scanner Preferred
- Strong Attention to Detail; Ability to Lift Heavy Objects; Ability to Stay on Feet for Long Periods of Time
- Positive Attitude; Self-Motivated; Safety Conscious
- Ability to Work on Multiple Tasks in a Fast Paced Environment
- Great Communication Skills; Ability to Work Well on a Team but Be Self-Motivated and Independent at Times
