Job summary

LaPorte Products, Inc. in North Charleston, SC seeks a shipping clerk to join our family-owned team. The role requires multi-tasking, standing most of the day, and a reliable attendance record in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are 7:00-4:00 Monday through Thursday, and 7:00-1:00 on Friday, with benefits after 3 months. You will handle packing, invoicing, labels, and records while coordinating with UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience preferred but not required.

Job description

We are seeking a shipping clerk to join our team! We are looking for a person who is good at multi-tasking and standing on your feet most of the day. This person needs to be able to work in a fast pace environment. We need a reliable person that can show up to work every day. We are a family-owned company that values their employees and because we are a smaller company, it is very important to us that the person be here every day. After 3 months you will receive benefits which include an HRA benefit. The hours are 7:00-4:00 Monday through Thursday, and 7:00-1:00 on Friday.

Responsibilities

Job duties include packaging and weighing items, invoicing, applying payments, printing shipping labels and postage, keeping accurate records and will also assist our support department when necessary. LaPorte Prodcuts, Inc. manufactures and ships boat covers, boat shades, storage bags, sandbags, webbing straps, umbrellas and more. Maintain and work with vendors such as UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, and USPS.

Qualifications

• 1 or more years of experience is preferred but not required.
