Job summary

Bauer Welding & Metal Fabricators in Minnesota seeks a dependable forklift operator to move materials, load/unload trucks, and prepare shipments. You will stock and organize the warehouse, perform safety checks, and may run banding/shrink wrap and scan guns. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is required.

The role emphasizes reliable, physical work in a production environment with opportunities to support Receiving and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• 1+ year shipping experience preferred in lean manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
• Production/shop familiarity and quick learning of Bauer machine names/locations.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Forklift and scissor lift experience beneficial.
• Self-motivated with strong integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with all levels and basic computer use (Epicor).
• Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs and move parts.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move materials and products.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and prepare products for shipment.
• Stock products and organize warehouse for efficiency.
• Perform forklift safety checks and operate banding/shrink wrap machines.
• May operate scan guns and back up Receiving department.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in a noisy machine shop.
