Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk supports daily receiving, put-away, picking, staging, shipping, and inventory control activities for raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods. The role performs accurate ERP/WMS transactions, applies status labels (Quarantine/Released/Hold), maintains traceability (lot/expiry/location), and keeps all areas GMP/ISO/FDA audit-ready.
Core Responsibilities
1) Receiving & Quarantine
- Receive inbound deliveries; verify against PO/packing list (count, lot, expiry, condition).
- Apply Quarantine labels and place materials in designated quarantine locations.
- Create/maintain Receiving Log; forward documents to QA/QC and Accounting.
- Stage materials for QC sampling and notify QA/QC per SOP.
2) Put-Away, Labeling & Storage
- Perform timely put-away with correct bin/location and status (ERP/WMS).
- Ensure pallets/containers display part/SKU, lot/batch, status, quantity, and location.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO and storage conditions (temp/humidity where applicable).
3) Picking, Kitting & Staging to Production
- Pick and stage components/raws for Pre-Weigh, Compounding, and Filling per work orders.
- Verify picks against BOM and work order; prevent mix-ups and shortages.
- Support changeovers and urgent line calls; return partials with weighed back-in and location updates.
4) Shipping Support (Finished Goods)
- Stage finished goods; verify lot/expiry, quantities, and pack-outs.
- Print/apply case/pallet labels (UCC-128/GS1 when required).
- Assist with BOL/packing list packets and Loading/Shipping Log updates.
5) Inventory Control & ERP Accuracy
- Execute real-time ERP/WMS transactions (receipts, moves, picks, adjustments).
- Perform cycle counts, investigate variances, and propose corrections.
- Maintain tidy, labeled racks and accurate location master data.
6) Documentation & Compliance (GDP)
- File/attach COA/SDS to receipts as directed; maintain logs (receiving, temperature, pest control) per SOP.
- Complete records legibly, dated, and signed; correct errors per GDP.
- Retrieve records promptly for GMP/ISO/FDA or customer audits.
7) Safety, Equipment & 5S
- Operate pallet jacks/forklifts (if certified) safely; inspect equipment before use.
- Follow OSHA/EHS rules, dock safety (dock locks/wheel chocks), and pedestrian aisle control.
- Maintain 5S: clean aisles, organized staging lanes, controlled waste/recycling.

- Receiving to Quarantine (same-day): ≥ 99%
- ERP/WMS Transaction Accuracy: 100%
- On-Time Staging to Production: ≥ 98%
- 5S/Safety Incidents: 0 recordables

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse experience in GMP/ISO environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of ERP/WMS, scanners, and Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel).
- Familiar with lot/expiry control, quarantine/release workflows, and GDP documentation.
- Forklift certification (or eligibility) preferred; able to lift up to 50 lb, stand/walk for extended periods, and work on docks/racks safely.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork.

Coordinates With: QA/QC (sampling/release, COA/SDS), Production/Compounding/Filling (staging), Purchasing (PO issues), Accounting (receiving documents), Shipping/Carriers, and EHS.
