Mission: To provide quality, reliable, cost effective, pretreatment and chemical feed systems, which require a minimum of installation time and mechanical/electrical expertise of our sales force and customers. Our primary business and revenue stream is the sale of water treatment chemicals. The primary goal of the Inventory Supervisor is to ensure daily operations of shipping, receiving, and material flow the floor is accurate and timely.Purpose of the Job: Responsible for managing the workflow of inventory from receiving to shipment. This includes transacting items into inventory at the time of receipt and transacting items out of inventory for manufacturing and shipment.Level of Authority: The Inventory Supervisor reports to the Equipment Operations Manager and has three direct reports: (1) Receiving Clerk (2) Shipping Clerk, and (3) Materials Handler. Latitude is given for independent action and decisions. Error in judgment could have significant impact on customer relations.Work Environment: Work is to be performed in a manufacturing environment. Work will be performed in varying climate conditions ranging from (40oF to 100oF) and with usual hazards associated with manufacturing environments.Work Hours: Normal weekday office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Due to the nature of our business night, weekend, and holiday hours may be required to meet our sales force and customer needs. Overtime pay or compensatory time off will be offered when these job requirements occur.Travel: Day and/or over night travel are not required.Essential Job Functions:
- Pull items from inventory for Pick, Pull, and Ship Orders
- Package items using boxes and packaging material
- Weigh and assign freight charge using freight software
- Generate packing slip and apply to package
- Schedule pickup times with transportation carrier
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Chem-Aqua Safety Policy.
Additional Job Functions
- Provide backup to receiving department
- Complete special tasks set forth by the Equipment Operations Manager.
Qualifications and CapabilitiesSKILLS
- Knowledge of Oracle a plus
- Knowledge of Chem-Aqua's equipment product offering and assembly processes is required.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Proficient use of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (e-mail).
PHYSICAL
- Must have physical strength and ability to lift up to 40 pounds and carry such a weight for 100 feet.
- Must possess high energy level, and sense of urgency
- Must have good visual ability for close-up observations
- Must have good depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors.
- Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance.
- Must be conditioned to sustain work in a manufacturing environment that ranges in temperature from 40oF to 100oF
OTHER
- Must have a valid Georgia State Drivers License.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Must have writing ability sufficient to write correspondence.
- Must have good communication skills to work cooperatively with customers, sales force, and other company employees.
