Job summary

Medisca, a global provider of pharmaceutical ingredients and related services, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Irving, TX operations onsite. You will pick/pack orders, ensure hazardous material packaging and documentation, and coordinate with Team Leads to maintain timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include using MEDWMS scanners, maintaining safe PPE practices, adhering to cGMPs, stocking shipping areas, and collaborating with other departments to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year in a warehouse/shipping role preferred.
• Forklift certification and powered equipment experience an asset.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized with good time management and attention to detail.
• Fluent English (oral & written).
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Knowledge of SYSPRO/MEDWMS is a plus.
• Experience with FEDEX/UPS software is a plus.
• DOT/IATA certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack customer orders using MEDWMS scanners.
• Package and document shipments for Hazardous materials.
• Monitor validated shipments and coordinate with Shipping Team Leads.
• Maintain PPE per procedure and practice safe work methods.
• Coordinate all shipping activities with Shipping Team Leads.
• Complete picking/packing with accuracy to ensure order fulfillment.
• Keep shipping stations stocked and organized.
• Monitor supplies (cardboard, ice, shippers, tape, etc.).
• Maintain clean and neat shipping areas; collaborate with other departments for efficiency.

The primary function of the Shipping Clerk is to pick/pack customer orders in a safe and effective manner and in accordance with procedure.

This position is fully onsite in Irving.

The opportunity

• Utilize MEDWMS scanners for pick/pack of customer orders as needed
• Ensure proper packaging and documentation for Hazardous materials
• Monitor all validated shipments and coordinate with Team Leads
• Ensure that PPE is maintained at all times according to procedure
• Adhere to all cGMPs, practice safe work methods
• Coordinate all shipping activities with the Shipping Team Leads
• Complete picking/packing processes with quality and accuracy to ensure order fulfillment

Inventory

• Ensure shipping stations are stocked properly for operations
• Monitor supply levels (cardboard, ice, bubbles, shippers, tape etc.)
• Consolidate, ensure all shipping areas are kept clean/neat
• Collaborate with all other departments to ensure maximum efficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a warehouse environment, shipping experience in chemical/pharmaceutical or regulated environment is an asset.
• Forklift certification and use of other powered equipment is an asset
• Lifting required, heavy lifting of up to 60lbs is required at times.
• Accountable, dependable, team player with great communications skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail is a must
• Excellent communication skills required; fluent English (oral & written)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Knowledge of SYSPRO/MEDWMS an asset
• Experience with FEDEX/UPS software an asset
• Certification in DOT/IATA an asset
