Job description

OVERVIEW:
The Shipping Clerk performs tasks involved in processing and shipping Case Farms products. The role requires completing clerical and manual labor tasks.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.
• Maintains Manifest logs and trailer information.
• Completes paperwork for USDA-certified loads (Kill Certificates).
• Prepares bills of lading for outgoing trucks.
• Handles phone calls from truck drivers, sales, customers, and plant operations.
• Performs data entry of shipping information into the system.
• Handles various office and administrative duties.
• Performs other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in an office setting.
• Ability to work in sitting, standing, or alternating positions.
• Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to train others.
• Basic understanding of the shipping process.
• Maintain inventory controls, including product age, returns, and damaged containers.
• Above-average computer literacy.
• Communicate with CFS regarding scanning system or inventory issues.
• Assist in training shipping employees.
• Familiarity with MS Word and MS Excel.
