Job summary

Westerman, Inc. is a multi-site manufacturer of production and storage equipment serving the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. The Shipping Clerk will load/unload units, wrap ship loose, coordinate with the shipping coordinator on documentation, and communicate potential supply issues to minimize production impacts.

A successful candidate is a self‑motivated multitasker with strong work ethic and communication skills. This is a safety sensitive position with on-site work in Catoosa, OK.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year forklift and/or material handling experience.
• Previous shipping/receiving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ship prep units prior to shipping, including wrapping and securing piping.
• Load units onto trucks with overhead cranes.
• Coordinate with shipping coordinator on palletizing, banding, and wrapping.
• Verify documentation that all parts are on the pallet and ready for shipment.
• Operate forklift daily and support other duties as assigned.

Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.SUMMARYThe primary responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk are loading and unloading units, wrapping ship loose, coordinating with shipping coordinator on documentation, and communicating potential supply problems to supervisor to minimize production impacts. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic and communication skills to ensure all needs are met. This is a safety sensitive position.RESPONSIBILITIESRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.Ship prep units prior to shipping out, including wrapping, securing piping, etc.Load units onto trucks with overhead cranes.Coordinate with the shipping coordinator regarding ship loose items that need to be palletized, banded, and/or wrapped.
