Job summary

R&M Manufacturing in Buffalo, MN, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to oversee shipment movements from origin to destination. You will coordinate with suppliers, carriers and customers to ensure on-time deliveries and maintain shipment records.

The role emphasizes accuracy, inventory control, and teamwork in a diversified plant environment. 1st shift 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with JobBoss material management system preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving and warehouse activities.
• English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Navigate domestic and international shipping documents to support shipping manager.
• Package, stock and manage raw and finished goods inventory.
• Interface with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Vendors, Carriers and Delivery Personnel.
• Fill and transact work orders, purchase orders and sales orders with accuracy.
• Periodically perform cycle counts on inventory.
• Transact inventory movements using JobBoss and other systems.
• Ensure FIFO is followed for all transactions.
• Label and prepare packages for shipment via carriers (e.g., UPS).
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Overview:

A shipping clerk is responsible for managing the shipment of goods from one place to another. They coordinate with various parties, such as suppliers, carriers, and customers, to ensure that shipments are processed efficiently and delivered on time. Shipping clerks also track shipments, maintain shipping records, and handle any issues that may arise during the shipping process. Additionally, they may be responsible for ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and maintaining inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Navigate domestic and international shipping documents to support shipping manager
• Package, stock and manage the accuracy of raw and finished goods.
• Interface with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Vendors, Carriers and Delivery Personnel.
• Fill and transact work orders, purchase orders and sales orders with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
• Periodically perform cycle counts on raw and finished goods inventory.
• Transact inventory movements using JobBoss and other inventory control systems.
• Ensure FIFO is followed for all transactions.
• Label and prepare packages for shipment via package carriers (i.e. UPS)
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
