Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the Bloomington, IL location. You will be responsible for assembling, packing and labeling shipments, and preparing documents for parcel and LTL carriers. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work on a fast-paced team.

The position operates on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Benefits start day one and the company emphasizes a long-term commitment to its employees.

Taylor Print and Visual Impressions is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join the team in Bloomington, IL !

Work Authorization

To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities

• Ability to be self-sufficient and flexible as the prioritization of tasks change throughout the day.
• Perform quality control review of each order.
• Aggregate and package/prepare orders for shipping via parcel and LTL carriers.
• Utilize PC-based systems to prepare shipping documents and labels.
• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Completes shipping reports.
• Reviews and records returned shipments for client service tracking.
• Assist with picking orders per standard picking process and packing for shipment.
• Wrap completed skids using machine pallet wrapper and stage skids for pick up.
• Load and unload trucks with the aid of a hand truck or powered fork trucks.
• Use hand trucks, fork trucks and other material handling equipment to move material as needed .
• Assist stock clerk with their duties when caught up with shipping tasks.
• Maintain a clean working environment and maintain equipment needed to ship orders timely.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 7 hours a day.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

Your Shift

• 1st shift Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

You Must Have

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet set deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Basic computer knowledge required

We Would Also Prefer

• Fork truck experience
• Experience in Pick/Packing
• Experience with UPS and FedEx software
• Some experience in the related field

Salary

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $18.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
