Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our fulfillment warehouse team. You will be a key player, ensuring goods shipped are delivered in the most economical manner that meets the customers' needs.

Schedule is Monday to Friday – 40 hours/week, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Overtime paid time and a half after 40 hours and Sundays. Sheridan is an Equal Opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organization, and PC skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Technical school or college preferred.
• One year shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Quote package charges – ensuring the best possible rate is obtained for the goods being shipped.
• Ensure proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping and all finished goods are shipped to the correct destination.
• Close job tickets by adding freight charges, materials and final shipping quantities.
• Provide recap of daily shipments.

• Ensure proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping and all finished goods are shipped to the correct destination.

• Provide recap of daily shipments.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organization and PC skills and attention to detail.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Technical school or college preferred.
• One-year related experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
• Knowledge in the UPS, FedEx and USPS shipping systems.
