Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our fulfillment warehouse team. You will be a key player responsible for ensuring goods shipped are delivered in the most economical manner that meets customers' needs.

Responsibilities include quoting package charges, applying proper labels and tickets, closing tickets with freight charges and final shipping quantities, and providing a recap of daily shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or college preferred.
• One year shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping systems.

Responsibilities

Job description

In this role, you will be a key player, responsiblefor ensuring goods shipped are delivered in the most economical manner that meets the customers' needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Quote package charges – ensuring the best possible rate is obtained for the goods being shipped.
• Ensure proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping and all finished goods are shipped to the correct destination.
• Close job tickets by adding freight charges, materials and final shipping quantities.
• Provide recap of daily shipments.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organization and PC skills and attention to detail.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Technical school or college preferred.
• One-year related experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
• Knowledge in the UPS, FedEx and USPS shipping systems.

Schedule is Monday to Friday - 40 hours/week

Monday - Friday: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Overtime pays time and a half after 40 hours per week and Sundays.
