Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate to fabricate components for the final assembly of windows in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting. You will perform repetitive operations and assist with loading, unloading, and wrapping materials.

Training period is Monday through Friday, 6a-6p and could last up to six weeks. The role requires reading work orders, measuring with a tape, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in manufacturing and reading a tape measure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as required.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules and follow verbal instructions.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
