Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is hiring for a material handler in Laurel, Mississippi. The role focuses on transporting product, preparing shipments, and supporting inventory control while following NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and applicable laws.

You will use hand carts and pallet jacks, label and wrap pallets, and process related paperwork. Requirements include lifting up to 60 lbs, ability to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts, and a dependable work ethic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivated.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, transport product using hand carts, pallet jacks, etc; following all safety protocols.
• Ensure all product is labeled, stacked and wrapped correctly for shipping.
• Scan and track pallets from production to cooler.
• Correctly verify and process required paperwork.
• Assist with verifying accurate inventory counts as needed.
• Perform all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
