Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Associate in Bradenton, FL to fill orders, count, load, and unload product on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule.

The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 400 pounds for long distances and bending, with attention to safety, quality, and on-time delivery. A High School diploma or GED and at least one year of shipping or related experience are preferred; strong reading and recording skills

Qualifications

• One year shipping or related experience.
• High School or GED and must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record information applicable to the job.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 400 pounds and continuous movement as described in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that product received from plant or other plants is recorded correctly.
• Load and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure shipping schedules are met.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Safety, etc.).
• Performs duties integral to meeting work schedules and company rules.

Bringing Home the Dough

Fills orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule.

Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Role is very physical and requires the ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighting up to 400 pounds a distance of up to 300 feet continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks, up and down 30-degree slopes. Role also requires the ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet.

• Maintains cleanliness of work area.


• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

• Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Salary Range- $22.66 - $24.72
