Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a Warehouse Loader to unload trailers, manage dock areas, and ensure proper rotation and sanitation in a fast-paced bakery setting. You will record ingredients, load trucks, and maintain accurate load sheets to support safe, high-quality production.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, high school completion, and familiarity with baking processes. Applicants should be able to follow GMPs and maintain clean, organized workspaces.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of baking processes, equipment and terminology is desired.
• Ability to process large volumes of repetitive work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift heavy materials weighing up to fifty pounds may be required.
• Completion of high school and/or equivalent education or experience in job related activities

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers as they arrive.
• Keep docks clean and remove empty trays/pallets.
• Unload ingredients or other materials.
• Record ingredients received on proper forms.
• Load trucks according to load sheets and check stacks.
• Mark load sheets with product dates.
• Verify pallets match load sheet after loading.
• Submit load sheets and forms after shift.
• Dispose of empty boxes/bags.
• Organize product varieties and record quantities.
• Maintain freezer organization and rotation.
• Keep ante rooms and back of freezer clean.
• Report equipment problems to supervision.
• Monitor product quality and seals.
• Check nesting of trays.
• Perform daily checks and loads as required.
• Maintain overall area cleanliness.
• Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
• Perform other tasks as needed by supervisor.
• Move trailers on/off property using trucks and yard dogs

Job description

Job Summary

Under supervision and using established procedures, ensures that trucks are loaded, trays and dollies are unloaded properly. Follows all GMP’s and ensures hands are cleaned and sanitized at all times. Ensures the production of safe, high-quality product. Promotes good company morale. Report any equipment and/or people issues. Ensures all checklist and required forms are filled correctly in a timely manner. Complete all tasks deemed necessary by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Unloads trailers as they arrive.
• Keep docks clean, removing any empty trays and pallets.
• Offloads any ingredients or other material that may be delivered.
• Checks and records ingredients received on the proper form.
• Sweeps out and loads trucks according to load sheets, checking off stacks and/or pallets as they are loaded.
• Writes down on the load sheet the dates of the product that goes on the trailer.
• After load is complete, checks that the pallets on the trailer correspond to the number on the load sheet.
• Turns in load sheets, B.O.L., and in other forms completed during shift.
• Throws away all empty boxes and bags.
• Places all product varieties in the proper aisles and records quantity on “push in sheet”.
• Keeps freezer organized and pushed up.
• Ensures proper rotation of product (first-in/first-out).
• Keeps ante rooms clean and the back of the freezer swept, scraped and free of any debris.
• Notifies engineering/foreperson of any equipment problems immediately.
• Monitors quality of the product, package seal, trays, dollies and coding.
• Checks for proper nesting of trays.
• Performs M.B. pull and push up.
• Performs GSF pull and push up.
• Keep entire area clean at all times.
• Perform Sanitation duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor.
• Performs any other job deemed necessary by Supervisor.
• Hauls and moves trailers on and off property using trucks and yard dogs

This job operates in a production environment. The employee is frequently exposed to facility elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and filing cabinets.
