Staffmark is hiring a Shipping Associate in Putnam, CT. This role supports receiving shipments, packing outbound orders, and keeping a busy warehouse organized and efficient.

The position offers a first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour and a commitment to accuracy and teamwork. You will work with handheld scanners, lift up to 70 lbs, and follow packaging procedures to ensure safe, on-time shipments.

Job Duties

• Wrap roll goods using kraft paper according to shipping standards
• Package wrapped materials to ensure safe and accurate shipment
• Lift and move rolls of laminated materials up to 70 lbs on a frequent basis
• Use a rotating jib crane with electric chain hoist for heavier materials when needed
• Operate inventory hand-held scanners to track and manage shipments

What You Will Do

As a Shipping Associate you will receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, prepare outbound orders, verify inventory, organize warehouse stock, complete shipping and receiving documentation, and help maintain accurate inventory records. You will safely move products throughout the warehouse while supporting efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment operations.

The Shipping Associate supports warehouse and distribution operations through accurate shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling. This role requires organization, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices.
