Aerotek is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to join our Operations Maintenance team in Greenfield, IN.

The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling and automated packaging systems, with a lead-technician capacity for advanced diagnostics and mentoring peers. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of PM/maintenance in industrial environments, strong electrical/pneumatic expertise, and hands-on experience with CMMS and Allen-Bradley PLCs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years PM/maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • 4+ years repairing material handling or automated conveyors.
  • 4+ years reading blueprints/electrical schematics.
  • 4+ years electrical/electronic knowledge incl. industrial power.
  • 3+ years troubleshooting material handling systems.
  • 4+ years working to OEM safety standards.
  • 3+ years CMMS experience.
  • Hands-on hydraulics/pneumatics in industrial setting.
  • Proficient in three-phase power and motor controls.
  • PLC troubleshooting with industrial controls (Allen-Bradley).
  • Experience leading or guiding other technicians.

Job Title: Sr. Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Sr. Mechatronics and Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging and distribution systems, and pneumatic systems. This role serves in a lead technician capacity, providing advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics while mentoring and supporting less experienced technicians. The technician promotes a strong safety culture, ensures reliable operation of complex mechanical and electrical systems, and helps design solutions for challenging maintenance problems within a high-volume distribution environment.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a safe working environment by consistently following all safety procedures and equipment-specific safety standards.
  • Complete preventive and predictive maintenance routines on material handling equipment and automated systems, ensuring all work is accurately documented.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on material handling equipment, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and related components.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyor systems, pneumatic systems, and related controls.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on material handling equipment systems, including PLC-based control systems and robotic equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, including three-phase power and motor controls, to safely diagnose and correct equipment problems.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities align with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and applicable safety standards for material handling equipment.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • At least 4 years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventive maintenance procedures on industrial or material handling equipment.
  • At least 4 years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • At least 4 years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • At least 4 years of knowledge and practical application of electrical and electronic principles, including industrial power and control systems.
  • At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with material handling equipment systems.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and safety regulations.
  • At least 3 years of experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage and document maintenance activities.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics, in an industrial or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including three-phase power systems, motors, and industrial control components.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and working with industrial control platforms such as Allen-Bradley.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or act in a Sr. technician capacity, supporting and guiding other technicians in daily maintenance tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.65 - $42.65/hr.
