Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products Corp in Albany, Oregon, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate to mark parts, create pack slips, and process shipments using our systems.

You will work day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and contribute to accurate packing, shipping documentation, and timely customer service. Prior experience in manufacturing or aerospace is a plus; forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; relevant experience considered.
• Able to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy for pack slips and exports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Must have a clean MVR and pass pre-employment checks.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mark parts per customer specs using a vibro-pen and other methods.
• Create customer pack slips using Visual Manufacturing System.
• Prepare shipments and box/ palletize for dispatch.
• Process shipments via UPS Worldship, FedEx, and LTL carriers.
• Maintain accurate records and operate in a safe, professional manner.

Purpose

Shipping and Receiving will mark parts, create pack slips, box parts, and process shipments using various systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mark parts per customer specifications using a vibropeen and other methods of marking.
• Make customer pack slips using Visual Manufacturing System.
• Customer Website and Portal involvement.
• Box and Palletize Shipments.
• Process shipments through various systems such as UPS Worldship, FedEx Ground, FedEx Express, and LTL services.
• Work in a responsible, safe, and professional manner.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• High level of accuracy, excellent proof-reading ability, and great attention to detail.
• Must be able to retain a great deal of varying information to complete pack slips, certifications, and exportation of freight.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record. (proof of MVR will be required)
• Problem solving and critical thinking required.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Basic math ability, including addition.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to retrieve, organize, and save files and emails; intermediate computer skills.
• Previous experience working in manufacturing and production; aerospace castings preferred.
• Possess good communication skills at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers and supervisors in a positive and professional manner.
• Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
• HS diploma or equivalent GED required, but candidates not meeting this requirement who possesses relevant experience will be considered.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend and remain active for the majority of the shift.

Working Conditions

• The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.
